Brooklyn-based indie rock band, Grizzly Bear released their third album on May 26, 2009 and they named it after a small island in Massachusetts, but why?
This album didn't speak to me at all, except for one song,"two weeks." I liked it how the piano blended with the lyrics. I personally recommend this song for people that are in a love relationship and are having a hard time trusting each other. You don't have to say further explanations to your partner, the lyrics would speak for you.
For the rest of the songs, I'll say that "cheerleader,"and "while you wait for others," the vocal pitches were good and have great valuable themes such as finding answers for yourself instead of waiting for others to tell you the truth as well as vice versa. If you like simple drum rhythms then "Ready-able"as well as "while you wait for others" are good for you to listen to. For the most part, the vocal harmonies were great but I cant say the same for the melodies.
Overall, I'll recommend you to buy the singles.
